So who here lives in a household using the "If it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush it down." mantra?

I understand it's a pretty good way to look at preventing water wastage, but is a bit minging to most.

I personally have no problem with doing it, but the wife is dead against it. All waste must be flushed!!!

Urine is pretty much sterile so how can it be dirty? unless your infected

however the smell after a while is more than enough to make you want to flush after each time

Only agree not to flush on the odd occasion, normally when someone is going in straight afterwards, though as a standard I always flush

flush it every time unless you drank loads of water so the pee is basically clear because it doesn't smell then.

Our toilet takes an age to refill so we quite often have a "Dont flush!" shout if someone going in and you might need a wee in the next 15-20 minutes.

Otherwise we flush away.
