Its limited by the definition of pc.

My dream pc would probably go something like this, mostly avoiding the server stuff:
-QX6700
-EVGA 680i
-2x Corsair dominator 2gb
-Lian Li A10b
-Dual Corsair hx 620 psus
-Thermalright ultra 120 with Yate loon D12SM-12D
-Two Lg all format burners
-Two blue ray burners
-2x 8800gtx in sli
-4 147gb 15,000rpm scsi in raid 0+1
-scsi controller
-3x dell ultrasharp 3007
-X-fi elite pro

That comes to £11,009. And it all fits in a standard sized desktop case. Beat that.
The OP's spec pales in comparison :p
 
Mac Pro with:
- 2x Quad Core CPUs
- 4x X1900XTs
- 16Gb Ram
- 4x 400Gb in RAID 0+1
- 2x 2407s (3007 is just silly big).

Then:
- Kentsfield - Overclocked to 4.5+Ghz with phase
- 8800GTXs in SLI watercooled
- 4x 150Gb Raptors in RAID 0
- One 3007 as a main screen.
- 4Gb Ram

There. Yummy :D

-6 750gb ES seagates in raid 0+1
-scsi controller with 4gigs of cache
-3x dell 3007 (the new revision comming out soon)

-8000 va ups

pair that up with a £30k server and you have youself the sickest setup ever.

Why is it a hoax? There are plenty of other manufacturers with similar designs, there is quite a large one that is definilty not a hoax.
