accidentally or by fault, would or could I get a full refund? as its within the 12 month warranty.

fancy tossing it in to get a PS3 now there may be a cheaper option.

im gutted at not having a baseball game on the 360 and suffering from the buyers remorse.

console is about 3 months old now

Wont get a full refund, they will get it fix or replace it for you. Refund is the last option they have to give you.

I don't know if this will help you but I think you're legally entitled to at least 12 months guarantee with the shop you bought it from. I just bought a 360 and the guy at the desk made a point of saying it's covered with them for 12 months.

Edit: Forgot to mention that he said replacement, not refund.

I think its called fraud if you break it and then take it back to get refund. I may be wrong. Stick with the 360 for games as there seems to be a real issue with ps3 release dates. Id just save up and get a ps3 aswell in 6 months as after xmas i think theyll go down in price.

If you want a baseball game isnt there any original xbox games that you can play on it?

i want the 2k next gen games, i might just put the 360 in a dark cupboard as punishment for annoying me with is lack of region free'ness

cr*ppy plastic box ;)

Why did u buy it in the first place? Surely there is a few games that can tie u over until something u want comes out? Have u heard of Halo 3?

yeah i have other games that I enjoy - mainly NHL 08

but ive got a baseball bug flying through me as it playoffs, and like an impatient child I will chuck a paddy

Oops, I didn't notice he was implying that. I'm so off today.

mehuk: Shame on you if that's what you were implying, stop trying to cheat and trade it in or sell it on like everybody else does if there's nothing wrong with it. Thread should be locked TBH.

all i asked was that an option - if its fraud, then i wouldnt do it

but some things do pay back - no need to get in a paddy

i stated; accidentally or by fault - not deliberately

360s are hardly a reliable plastic box now are they ;)
So, what? You're just going to pray every night until it red-rings? :p

Maybe a dash of holy water (or even non-holy water) here and there would do the trick.

It's upto the shop if they refund you (prob most likely give store credit if they do) but also take into account that if the shop offer a 'trade-in' service, they're much less likely to give you a refund of any kind.

Im pretty sure that if you break it (e.g drop it on the floor, chuck it down the stairs) then you cant claim on the warranty. You would need insurance.

But if it overheats, fans stop working, doesnt get no power to the console, etc - then you can claim of the warranty.

Warranty on a product is only valid when the product breaks on its own. :)

So all he needs to do really is sit it on the carpet and give it a funny look, instant red-ring! :D

Note: I am still very opposed to this whole fraud idea.

he could just leave it on the carpet turned on all the time, or inside a common living room tv cabinet furniture piece, fair do's he will have purposely forced the fault, but its not his problem if its been badly designed is it, it should be able to operate in those conditions, the wii and ps3 manage it easily :)

Id just keep it really to be honest, its not worth selling it and buying another console over, especially when as soon as you'v had your baseball fix you probably will want something else, which has more chance of being a 360 title than anything
