If not a network cabinet then what ?

Hi,

I have a HP 24 port switch and a 24 port patch panel which are both rack mountable but cabinets are expensive over here.

What other cheap(ish) solutions have you guys (and girls) come up with in order to house these sorts of things without rack mount cabinets ?

I did modify an Ikea wooden two shelf unit to house a patch panel before so was thinking along these lines.

Get yours some rack strips off the bay and mount them inside whatever you have.

Unfortunately ebay over here is pretty poor and shipping to Singapore is very expensive. I have just shipped a key holder (the guy climbing the fridge one), two cables for a dell Perc6 and a bath oils/scrubs etc set and it is costing around 50 quid for the shipping alone and that is heavily discounted unless I want to wait 2 months by boat .
