Hi guys i was wondering about the crazy prices with Electric goods, and the ponkers economy We have these days so if recession comes along should this bring prices back down to sqaure one so people can afford to buy and treat are slefs hehehe:) what's you're opinion

Um, do you understand what a recession is?

Thing's are going to get more expensive with a recession. The pound will/is cheaper against the dollar. E.G. a while back it was 2 bucks for a pound, It's dropped a fair bit now I think.

Not to mention thousands of people will loose their jobs & will find obtaining employment a lot harder than it already is, maybe even you or your family if your reading this lol. :D

This will also have the double effect of people cutting back on spending which will mean retailors wont be making as much money & they will lay off staff - maybe even OcUK lol. :D

Just remember, no one's jobs are safe, I worked for a company for 11 years with millions of pounds turnover then 2 screwup's in one year on large contracts sent us under just like that. :)

Yup, I was made redundant in July thanks to bad management. Thankfully I got around £3000 redundancy so am using it to pay for a new machine:

Should keep me going for a few years and if I can manage to overclock the Q9550 to 3.2GHz then I've got a £900-odd quid processor performance from a £220 CPU lol. :)

If..? We've been in a recession for about a year or so from what I've seen. :(

Not sure what you've seen, but a recession is 2+ quarters of negative growth.

But some arbitrary classification of recession is irrelevant in any analysis anyway. If UK growth slows by x% then theres an effect on unemployment and prices.
