We live in worrying times,we do, its a distinct possibility again, isnt it. That thermo mutually assured destruction stuff!
This is hard to talk about stuff I know, but must be on the back of folks minds given the current circumstances ... I honestly never thought I'd see the day when a clearly madman like Putin bandys about the usage of Nuclear weapons again as if it were normal
Back in the day and in the original cold war My Dad was in the RAF at Wildenrath West Germany, GR1 Harriers, Phantoms n Stuff... it was a tense stand off game against Russia.
As a kid you kind of got used to the sirens and Dad had to scramble, it was all Tacky Vals, sort of an abbreviation of Tactical Evaluations I guess.
Nobody wants MAD and you have to wonder who is in charge these days?, but when you see the likes of Donald Trump loose talk with Putin and during his tenur and saluting Kims generals on live TV. you have to wonder where Donalds loyalty lies
I think at this point a nuclear exchange in our life times is inevitable ... sadly.
So assuming the inevitable happens in our life time, what would you do? Fortunately I live beside a large RAF base and would rather be taken out in a heartbeat if the worst came to the worse that way.
Honestly, the aftermath of a nuclear exchange does not bear thinking about, it wont be like the movies for survival, it will be much more horrific.
