Anyways, If all games companies in the world were locked in a room, and some evil sadistic man was going machine gun all but 1 development team.

Who would you choose to save?

For me, It would be Bioware.

Kotor was one of the finest games ever made, The sequel improved on everything but story line, and then Jade empire showed they could take all the best bits of Kotor, add even more to the already fab engine, and give the game a more cultured indepth storyline, that actually kept me drueling throughout.

Throw into that the future Mass effect, That looks truely sublime! I'd safely say i'd be doing the world a favour by saving Bioware from a machine gunning. :D

Blizzard.

Rock n Roll racing, diablo 2, lost vikings, starcraft, warcraft 3 and world of warcraft.

Edit: Nintendo are pretty close second though

Me. I'd create 'mario skydiving and wrestling the master chief over a copy of GTA, l33t edition' for £2.50 (with free console). Vote me

 I thought about a thread like this and my first thought was Bioware, their name on a game is the closest thing to a stamp of quality you can get, certainly for the sheer longevity and attention to detail present in all their games :)

I dont like Nintendo as much as most, sure they are awesome - but i also find them very kiddy and at times...poo - but this is just my opinion :p

GTA was one of the most childish games I've ever played :p

Surely picking Nintendo is cheating? I mean, they have a ton of development teams.

EDIT: Although in fairness, I guess picking a lot of the big names (Bioware, Rockstar) is unfair in that regard too. All the big names have more than one team.

Square-enix. Of course if you're not into RPGs you'd be a bit bored :p They're great at what they do but their games catalogue doesn't really have a whole lot of variation.

Looking Glass Studios would be right up there. The guys who moved to Irrational and finished System Shock 2. My god I hope Bioshock is good.

Bioware are in my top 5 as well. Damn it's hard to narrow it down.

I'd also give a nostalgic nod to Origin Systems and the Bitmap Brothers...
