If you buy a domain from

I wonder - if you buy a domain from someone like godaddy, which their servers are in the US, while my web hosting company is in Europe, and my site's target audience are from Europe as well, will they suffer from any delay/longer response time due to the DNS name servers being away or anything like that?

I've not had any problems with mine. I have a couple domains through godaddy with UK hosting.

I'm sure there's caching of the IP at one or more stages in the day to day system so I very much doubt it.

Location of the registrar doesn't impact on the hosting at all, in any way

Edit: Just be sure to use your host's nameservers in either case
