Hey guys just thought i would ask around as a good question if you could change one component in your PC what would it be?

mine would to get rid of the stoopid 4 sticks of 1Gb of reaper 1066 because i dont use it to its full potential and the RAM heat sinks are quite annoying

find a way to fit my old grafix tablet on the new machine(uses a old 25 pin com port connex).....it the only reason i still use a p1 166Mz for my cad work yet

Wouldn't change but a another monitor would be great.
If it was change a new graphics card would be great, a 260GTX Maxcore would be great.

It'd probably benefit me more to get a new CPU - more often than not I do CPU intensive tasks, not hard drive intensive.

I was surprised mainly that it wasn't the first thing people would change, I assume the theoretical change would be free in regards to the OP's question?

Change would be to upgrade to a 650w PSU so I can get a GFX card and another 1TB drive so I can go from RAID 1 to RAID 5.

SS drives are still too expensive and small. Vista would eat up the majority of the drive right now. I'll hold off on those for awhile.

My Geforce 8800 GTS OC, the card itself is perfectly fine but it dislikes the specific hardware configuration of my PC which means I'm running a ATI x1950 Pro. Not quite sure which piece of hardware it dislikes but I have a feeling it's the raptor. It's very strange because everything is good under XP but Vista + Raptor + 8800 seems to cause random application crashes and slowdowns.

I would. Not for performance though - my PC's now at a point where the HDDs are the loudest part.

But I'm holding off till they're higher capacity + cheaper.
