If you could go anywhere

Whilst there is peace and quiet in abundance here you have to (1) look for it and (2) pay for it.

NZ is not inexpensive unless you're looking at living in terrible areas.

Hah! We almost bought a very, very nice house last year and were at the offer stage. The agent called us to discuss finalising the whole deal but asked if he could share something with us? We said sure, let's hear it. The place had been used as a P lab for the previous 6 months and toxology reports showed residue in the garden shrubs, lawn and flowers.

We declined to take the purchase further :p

Somewhere with lots of piece and quiet, and not too expensive to live there where would you go.

The question in the thread title and the question in the post contradict each other. "If you could go anywhere" and "Somewhere with lots of piece and quiet, and not too expensive to live", what if I want to go somewhere noisy and expensive like NYC or Tokyo?

So which is it? Aywhere or somewhere based on your specifics? :p

The OP was asking about places that are "not too expensive" and I don't believe NZ is overly expensive compared to the UK? You'd know more than I do of course as you live there.

I was in NZ for 5 weeks earlier this year and absolutely loved it :)
