It had so much promise and then was console-ised. Completely crippled the game and was a huge let down.


Swiv and Turrican :) For when you want to do nothing but shoot everything in sight!
 
Would love a new version of Elite 2:Frontier, but X3 fills that gap pretty well.

Tie fighter would be a great remake. There's quite a gap in the market for a good action space game.

It almost certainly won't be as long as the first. Having said that, I read an interview with the lead writer. She seemed to have the right idea. Hope that rubs off on the rest of the team.

Having said that, the trouble with Deus Ex is everyone thinks something different made it great. Harvey Smith and Warren Spector thought they understood it. They thought it was about freeform gameplay. Invisible War showed us that they emphasised freeform gameplay at the expense of compelling narrative.

Any new Deus Ex will be very difficult to get right (at least to the fanbois' satisfaction).
