Now this is a thread I want to keep on topic and NOT diverse into any arguments or fights please, I know how they go

Ive got about 14k to spend, cant stretch to 15k max and want a car with luxury and that feeling of good quality. Doesnt have to be any specific type of care but would prefer German or Jap....

What would you suggest, bareing in mind im 20 so no silly ones !

I was looking at a 123d Coupe or Skoda Superb Elegance, both catch my eye for their quality builds ... but the 123d for its extra poke

What's your annual mileage? What sort of roads do you drive on? Are there any features you require?

Annual milage nothing above 10k, mostly A & B roads and would like heated seats, xenons and at a push sat nav

No horrible dagdag if you're only doing 10k a year. If you like the 1 series, 130i or 135i is the way to go.

What do you mean by luxury exactly? to me that means 8 cylinder auto with leather and lots of electric gizmos. Personally i would probably go for a 7 series.

i know its not german or jap but an XK8 is well within budget and a great coupe, will cost a bit more to run and maintain than a 123d though.

He lives in Devon, iirc Fox insured his 530i at a similar ish age with no issues.

Although how he wants luxury but fancys a 1series puzzles me a little !

I'm coming from a peugeot 207 for god sake hahaha everything feels like luxury comapred to that tin pot

Insurance at 20 on the S-Type R for me is expensive, but given what it is the quotes are quite reasonable.

If you can afford £14k+ on a vehicle at the age of 20

I'm sure the op can afford to insure and run a car of that value also.
