what would you get from the following:

1. Acer 27" gsync 144hz ips monitor (cant remember name)
2. 8gb macbook air retina
3. Titan x (no idea on price...)

Currently got 2 x 780tis and 2 x dell u2431s. Want a laptop for work at some point but initially really wanted that monitor...

Personally id go for the monitor, keep the rest of the money on hold and soldier on with the 780ti's and wait for nvidias next mainstream card.

Truth pc brother however if you lived a luxuries life already get a monitor the minor GPU improvements are not worth it however the visuals are.

I'd go for the monitor, one of the most noticable upgrades you can get is increasing monitor size and the 780 x2 should cope fine for a couple of years.

induction hobs are amazing - girlfriend's mum has one and I love it!

Back on track, if I was you OP, I'd be considering an Aorus or ROG gaming laptop over the Macbook, simply because gaming and customisation.
