If You Had...

Fair play but as I said, if I drove a Megane I'd constantly be worrying about when it's going to break down. An old work colleague has the RS (unsure if it's the one that did the 'ring time) and he's had no end of trouble with it. I've had 7 Type R's since 2004 and the only thing ever to go wrong was an O2 sensor on my DC5. My current car is 12 years old and hasn't missed a beat, I wonder how many 2000 era 172's are knocking about year in year out without fault?

Theres no doubting Honda's reliability. Thats for sure.
You get good and bad cars though in any brand/marque

My 306 has done 115,000 miles now and is still pulling like its fresh as a daisy
Very little has gone wrong for me and all i have spent has been for piece of mind or "While I'm there" etc etc. Thats not the same for everyone though.
Although I can't say i've heard of many reliability issues with the current megane. Then again it too early to tell.

That is very damn impressive. I would like to see what times we get with the same tyres on a Focus RS/RS500 and with the same driver at the wheel for both cars. :)

I mean low 8 minutes is keeping company with a lot of very quick and very well known RWD cars.

Anyhow, I can't choose between the three so it's going to be a case of driving and looking at various examples of them all until one takes my fancy.

Starting this weekend, got a few viewings lined up. Watch this space tbh.

Huh? Too busy arguing about number of doors to read the thread? ;)

lol, i understand doors. My head was popping wondering why Matt would think 1 of the cars in his post is a 4 door.

Anyway, what is the 3rd car your are looking at now? Megane 250?
