If you need to use the 1 year XBox 360 warranty, do you need the shop receipt too?

Anyone know if you'd need to include a purchase receipt as well as the warranty receipt when DOAing a machine?

This isn't a situation I'm in, but just out of curiosity?

If it's being returned to MS then all you need is the serial number iirc.

Yep, Just returned mine and all they ask is for the serial no.
