Hmmmmm I think I made the title interesting enough for people to click.....hehehe. Essentially I own one of these bad boys.....

I love it to bits, makes everything look like hot **** but its about 4 years old now and im starting to consider something a bit bigger. What are your views on the subject? Are there any moniters that are commonly considered 'the best'?

Just for my own interest.....are apple monitors supposed to be a good brand? I can only assume they are as apple seems to sell itself on quality/sexy products.

Dell 2408 I think is whats hot atm, actually anything that isn't TN is :p

Apple *really* need to upgrade their lines, although they must have been changing panels? :S
 
Would second the Hazro, uses the same panel technology (S-IPS) as the Apple displays, but it's an updated panel on what they use.

I've had one next to an ACD to see the quality difference (if any) and they both looked identical picture quality wise. The Hazro has better overdrive and hence a lower response time however.

Also, Apple should be due a refresh of the Cinema Display range any time now so you may be best off waiting.
 
That apple is largely the same thing as the NEC 20WGX2 or the Dell 2007WFP, the important bit being the IPS panel. If you want IPS in bigger then look into the Hazros.

I have the Dell 2007WFP, and yes I do want something else cause it's not big enough :)
