If you want a PS3....

Just been into a major DVD rental chainstore that also has a games store in house and they still have them on the shelf. If they're still there next week I'll maybe offer to swap my Wii for one (only if the give me some cash as well ;))

Just had a walk around my area and every single store that sells consoles has the ps3 still in stock.

The high street electronics store that I have a Saturday job at had a grand total of 5 pre-orders and have sold 12 consoles today. This is compared to roughly 20 360 and wii pre-orders that they had when they first launched (it's a small store).

One thing that did suprise me, however, is seeing quite how many peripherals and games were in stock - usually even if you can get hold of the console everything else is like gold-dust, but one store practically had a stockpile of ps3 games.

I think time of year and price has a lot to do with it... will be interesting to see how the sales figures for all three compare come xmas. I recom we will see a price drop from Sony by then too, even though they are adamant that there are no price cuts due for quite a while but they have to say that otherwise people would stop buying now and wait for price cut.

Just played on it.

The Verdict: PC graphics (probably not top end either) but with game play smoother than chocolate. It just never jitters, which is a really nice experience.

That's certainly what I think about the launch titles. Although I suspect future titles will fully utilize what it's capable of.

Microsoft had manufactured about 50 consoles to cope with a worldwide release.

ROFL!!! :D

I agree Joebob, I think the 360 is about due a decent price drop and hardware revision to fix the racket too.

Xmas this year will be "interesting" to say the least. I truly wonder if the Wii will still be in the running despite it's storming success so far.
