If you were a fuji user (non XPro2)

Until proper reviews are out, who can say ? I think it also depends on your priorities ... if you want a light, all-in-one package without the need to change lens then the RX10 Mk3 might just be the ticket. I'd wager its image quality won't be quite as good as an X-Pro2 or X-T1, particularly in challenging conditions but would be it good enough for your needs ? Only you can answer that.

There is supposed to be a Steve Huff review out today on his Facebook page. The reason I asked the original question was because I don't have a 100-400 XF lense suitable for wildlife and aircraft. The price of the new Sony RX10 would out cheaper with an aperture of 2.4-4 @ 600mm with 4k video and slow motion. Obviously I'll be waiting on the quality but do still remain impressed by the XF100-400mm

I will eventually get the XT2 but the wait is killing me (and am currently using a XT10).

Edit: A number of things I hadn't factored in to this equation would be the depreciation value on the Rx10 III as opposed to the Fuji lens and the added benefit of purchasing the 1.4X teleconverter, giving users an equivalent focal length of 213-853mm. It looks like I have just answered my own question until I can be persuaded to the contrary

I don't think the wait will be long for an X-T2 - summer/early Autumn possibly. I was speaking with some Fuji reps recently about the X-Pro2 and the X-T2, and whilst they couldn't give me any concrete info their non-verbal communication told me a lot ;)

Going to have to save up my pennies like mad for it as I just pressed buy on the XF100-400mm with the teleconverter.
