Would you immediately go out and replace it, or would you sit down and think about changing systems?

I'd have a new PS3 arrive before the old one had stopped smouldering tbh, I see it as absolutely essential to my front room.
For a start I don't even have digital telly without it!

If my 360 exploded and I had absolutely no warranty/comeback what so ever, I would go back to PC gaming. Its more expensive but the benefits I miss a lot.

Honestly. I don't think I'd go out and rebuy any of them. I'd probably just claim on the insurance. :p

Seriously though. I'd replace the PS3 or Wii, but if the Xbox died I'd just stick with the spare one.

if my Xbox red rings again (after I managed to fix it) then I'll just buy a new one (providing I can find a stable job with stable, guaranteed amount of hours to pay a fixed amount per week unlike my current job which keeps fluctuating)

Depends on my bank account at the time ;)
However assuming I could afford it: I'd replace my PS3, 360 or Wii with no question. Although in the case of the 360 there are 2 in the house so that could wait a little longer.

I have a Wii, 360, and a PS3 Slim which I only bought last week.

So yea if they got struck by lightning, I would be VERY annoyed; 360 because I enjoy that more as a gaming system, and PS3 as it's new.

Well, firstly I'd wonder what on earth possessed me to start gaming outside in a thunderstorm.

Secondly, I probably wouldn't buy another console, as my most recent console is a PS2, and I don't play it all that often. PC all the way.
