Nipped out to the gym today, a quick 10 minute journey from home via a short strip of unmarked dual carriageway.
Noticed this chap in an old astra tailing me for the entire journey and then blocked me in once I'd arrived and parked up. Proceeded to take down my number plate and said he's going straight to the police and that I'll be getting a visit from them shortly.
Apparently I was doing "40" on the dual carriageway which is apparently 30, though unmarked. I certainly wasn't. I remember gradually overtaking him, not driving in excess at all - I don't like to put my foot down, it's only a 1.2. Obviously his speedo is at 30 and he's assumed I'm driving OTT because I nipped past him.
I said that's a bit excessive, I crawled past but apparently I'm just another boyracer, like the one that killed a relative of his. Fair enough if he's lost someone close but there's no need for aggressive threats. He then mentioned that the chap which killed his relative is "dead, I've got his name".
Anything the Police can do? I rely on the car a lot for uni and work, last thing I need are the police breathing down my neck about speeding.
