That is exactly why people shouldn't be using software like DDU as it can cause serious problems. It's not needed anyway. Even switching from AMD to Nvidia or the other way around all you need to do is uninstall the original drivers then install the new ones. As for using DDU before updating a driver (not saying you did this) that is just ridiculous, I always install over the top of the existing driver and have never had a problem plus it keeps any settings you have changed.

I used to disable the IGPU but now leave it on auto and have had no problems.
