Igpu question.

Just built my pc . All going great so far.

Just loaded up far cry 6 and it's asking whether I wasn't to use my rtx 4080 or my amd radeon graphics (7800x3d).

Do I need to disable the amd igpu? And also delete the adrenaline software or is it OK to keep them all enabled. I downloaded adrenaline with all the chipset drivers.

Yes you can Disable igpu in the bios or disable it in device manager

Software Won't do any harm leaving it or you can delete it if you want.

Normally it can be done via the bios.

I have a 9700K with an igpu and I have it disabled in the bios as I have no need for it.

Its handy though if you need to do any gpu testing as you can use this to see if it works\boots.

How well are recent igpu / dedicated GPUs handled today? Wouldn't the OP get some power savings by using the igpu for normal desktop usage/surfing?

I'd be very surprised if they're that smart, but would be easy enough for someone who has one to tell us if e.g. watching YouTube, it is using the IGP or the graphics card.
