i picked up a i7 6700 for my girl friends PC, and decided to delid it
when i pop'ed the lid i noticed i was out of liquid metal so ordered some. 4 days latter i go back to fit the lid and .....
i cant find the IHS
i have an Pentium K that i am willing to bin if the lid off that will work with the 6700? but i dont know if there is any differance in the IHS size, die size offset and so on.
would it work or am i risking the die braking?
