Could not personally make a comparison to the 226, but after some tweaking of the factory settings and having used some card colour swatches that come with quite an expensive bit of mac software, I was very impressed by the colour reproduction.

I'm very happy with mine (using it for photograph restoration and a bit of gaming) and my daughter uses the buiness model (with the adjustable stand and HDMI port) in her office as a professional wedding photographer and she's also very happy.
