Hi.

I purchase 2x IIyama 24" Monitors from OCUK in June'11.

I have now discovered a single 'black' pixel on one of the screens. After a while of cleaning it with my micro-fibre cloth I have ruled out physical damage and Dust/Dirt. The only thing I can think of it being is a dead pixel.

IIlyama warranty says that it excludes 'Blemishes or missing pixels are less than 6 pixels (red, green or blue).'

Would I be able to take this back to OCUK for an exchange because as far as I am aware, if it is black it is dead and the warranty does not state the colour black is excluded?

Thanks,

Dave.

Post in the Customer Service forum and ask OcUK.

There is this:

To clarify, we operate dead pixel no issue guarantee only on Samsung and iiyama monitors, nowhere does this. :)

On any other manufacturer, well just send back to us within 14 days under DSR. :)

But it probably only applies to monitors received new with dead pixels.

"Blemishes or missing pixels are less than 6 pixels (red, green or blue)"

A dead pixel is effectively missing one each of red, green and blue so might fall within the exception.

But as I said, as OcUK.
