Is it worth getting one of these? ive got a Samsung 226bw 'C' panel, and i notice ghosting. I play a lot of fast pace shooters, would it be worth getting one? ill just sell the 226 on ebay, or use it as a 2nd monitor

I got my mate to buy one of these a few days ago. Hes pretty clueless on geeky stuff so i used info i read and gave him a recommendation.

hes really pleased with it, and he plays games :)

I think the B1 is hard to get hold of now, i just ordered 1 the other day from another online shop, it said B1 on there website, and also says b1 on the box label, but...... the sticker on the reverse of screen says B2,
I phone another online shop who advertised the B1 model, but when they checked stock it was infact the B2.
I havnt had time to test screen yet for any ghosting, all i can say is that when i first turned it on, it looooked very nice :)

The only difference in the product is the introduction of a piece of circuit called Dynamic Contrast Ratio. This improves the panels contrast ratio from 1000:1 to typically 3000:1.

As this circuit can have negative effects on fast moving games or action movies, it can be disabled via the On Screen Display.

I wouldnt worry too much if you end up with a B2;)

DCR was set to off as default, ive been playing with the monitor for a few hours, HL2DM 1680x1050 and tbh i cant fault it :)
Makes my old 19" look awful,

I've had the B1 version since late last year and find it ideal for gaming as well as the usual internet browsing and so on. No complaints from me in either of these areas but I have heard some people talking about viewing angles. I've never owned a Samsung screen so can't offer a direct comparison in that regard.
