I've been looking at this monitor recently.

Thought it was a little surprising that it did 3840x2160 @ 60Hz over HDMI without stating that it was HDMI 2.0, but thought it was cool anyway.

What doesn't seem quite so good it that reading the spec a bit closer it looks like Freesync is only available if running the screen in 2560x1440 resolution.

Does anyone else think it's a bit misleading if that's the case as it seems to be advertised as a 4K monitor with Freesync. So I thought it would be Freesync @ 4K, but it seems not.

Under 'special features':
supports FreeSync™ Technology, DisplayPort: 2560x1440@35~60Hz

I just ordered that same monitor over the weekend.

I too noticed the "DisplayPort: 2560x1440@35~60Hz" on the official site but since it was separated from FreeSync with a comma I thought maybe it's another "feature"... I don't really know since this is the first time I'm moving past HDMI over to DisplayPort and so I don't know what the specs allow.

Now that you brought it up I'm kinda concerned. Going to have to contact IIYAMA to clarify.

Would be interested to know their response.
