Hi,

I just got a new Iiyama 24.5" freesync monitor today. I enabled Freesync in the monitor settings and also in AMD Catalyst. I also set my frame control to 75 as that is what the refresh rate is.

However it might just be me but I feel like when I am playing games it seems to jitter/chop at times and something doesn't seem as smooth. I have came from an old 6 year acer monitor too so surely this would be better.

Is there something I need to fix in the settings or is there a way to tell if this monitor is faulty?

Thanks

After playing a bit this morning I have noticed when I am playing DOOM if I enable Freesync my FPS drops to around 40FPS, used to be in the high 80's.

Is there something with Freesync I don't understand lol? Its made my playing worse not better.

I put on Assassins Creed Origins, I have both monitors side by side on duplicate and when I spin around the world the new monitor definetly has a choppy feel to it, its hard to capture on video but I will try.

Been a while since I used Freesync on a 27" 144Hz Iiyama monitor but as I recall it was always supersmooth, but I also never set any framerate limit or any of the stuff.. I would have gone for a higher refresh rate

Its the 24.5 75hz one I got...

I did re-assemble the PC as I was fitting some new Corsair LL120s too. I did try re-seating the GPU but something still just doesnt feel right... I suppose I could remove the extension cables and try straight PSU to GPU.

As for software that could cause any issues, I have the CAM software in game disabled.. AMD on screen isnt running and I dont think there is anything in the Cue+ software.
