How do you think these compare to the alternatives?

I used to have an old vm454 pro 19" crt which was a superb piece of kit for photography so replaced it with a 22" Iiyama (1680*1050) a few years ago which has served me well.

I now want a 2 monitor set up, I can either buy another Iiyama but not many are 1680*1050 anymore plus I want an hdmi input (for the ps3)

I've been thinking about a pair of these 24" beauties

I'll be using them for Photoshop/Lightroom and the odd game and am always square on to them so no worries about off axis viewing, just hope my ageing 3870*2 can drive them to 1920*1080 comfortably.

I have the E version of that monitor (almost exactly the same) and it is superb. Used exclusively for 360 games (at the moment). Viewing angles are surprisingly good too.

Iiyama are fantastic with warranty stuff as I am sure you know, also.

The majority of people I know have had no problems with their Iiyama monitors and have told me they are very good. However my ex had a 19" one and it had the most dead pixels I have ever seen on an LCD screen. Apparently that didn't bother her as she could just squash the screen a bit with her finger around the dead pixels and they would go away for a while

My 22" has 1 dead pixel, it's occasionally annoying but not all the time, what can you do if your monitor has any? is it grounds to return one if it's delivered that way?
