I have a four year old iiyama ProLite E481S and for the past couple of months it's been having the odd funny five minutes every once in a while.
The monitor will just cut out, as though I've pulled the plug. There will be no response from the front power button, using the on/off rocker switch at the rear has no effect and actually pulling the plug and reseating it has no effect. After a while it will come back to life.
This is not an issue with cables being seated properly, as they are all tight as can be, there is no movement in them to trigger the issue.
It's not an issue with the PC, as there is no response at all - no standby, no OSD, nothing.
I'm guessing it's some kind of problem with power supply in the monitor - is this a recognised point of failure?
I'm eyeing up the Dell 2408WFP as we speak, because I fear the iiyama is on a terminal spiral - the issue is happening more often and for longer each time.
