Iiyama Vision Master Pro 514?

I'm still using one at the moment, thier really nice crt's.
Quality of it is very good for anyones needs.
It produces good deep blacks and gaming on it couldn't be better.
One thing I,ve noticed is that the colours on most of them are a tiny bit washed out in the bottom left and right corners which you won't notice unless your on a white screen.
Build quality is fine and Iiyama's swap out policy is perfect, I had mine go dead on me a few weeks back so I rang them up and they swapped it the next day with no questions asked barely.
Be warned though that it is totaly huge and will take a lot of desk space away from you.

My 4 year old Iiyama Vision Master Pro 454 just exploded on me recently. Gave me the perfect excuse to buy a lovely new widescreen TFT though. My sister has the same monitor, and it's going fine. 3-year warranty the Iiyama monitors. Not bad, but nothing special. When I called up to enquire about the status of mine, as soon as they realised it was out of warranty, I could tell they just couldn''t care less and wanted to get me off the phone asap, even though I was pressing for info on what my options were.

Well I had a 510 for 6 years, excellent, just lost it's sharpness. I gave it to a friend who didn't mind that, still going strong.

I have gone TFT and can't be doing with it for games so I want another CRT. Can only seem to get them on fleebay these days without the warranty. Cheap though until the new and better TFT's come.

Seds are due for release later this year, they have all the goodness of crt in the same size as a lcd monitor and have none of the bad points of lcd, its superior to lcd and crt.

Even though they use crt technology they have better contrast than lcds as shown at a display somewhere.

I had a 514 - it was very good, when it worked. Got through 3x 513's, all failed due to poor quality power switches, and my 514 stopped syncing in with the picture signal about a month ago. Currently awaiting a response from their complaints department :( Iiyama DO however offer excellent on-site replacement services!

Picture quality 10/10 (2048x1536 at 87Hz!!), reliability 0/10

Hi,

I have an iiyama 510 that I just bought second hand, am having a problem whereby no matter what I set refresh rate to it still looks flickery when using word or anything with a plain background.

Anyone got any ideas as to what I am doing wrong or is the monitor fubar??

regards,

Matt

Hi,

I have speakers nearby, but these are supposedly shielded, these didn't cause a problem with my AOC monitor.

Will check tonight to see if there are any power bricks nearby the vga cable as am told this can cause a problem.

regards,

Matt

I turned the speakers off and still get the problem..

Tried the monitor on the floor away from the wall and it looks better, tried a 17 inch monitor and the problem is non existant - in end gave the monitor to father-in-law. installed it and he get's no flicker what-so-ever!

regards,

Matt
