Hello everybody,
I received my Iiyama XB2779QS yesterday. I can't figure out a few things in the OSD though and I would like some advice on what to do with the settings.
1) What about the colour profile? Is the screen calibrated just as I open it from the box? My Asus PA246Q has an "sRGB" profile which is factory calibrated, but what about this Iiyama? The User Manual is just bad, there is no good explanation. There are some I-Style colour profiles which I don't like because they lock brightness, as well as Warm, Normal and Cool profiles. Am I just supposed to leave the monitor in "User Mode" (the last colour option)? Colours seems great like that with 25% brightness and 60% contrast.
2) What about Overdrive? It can be off/-2/-1/0/1/2, and user manual does not say if -2 and -1 are actually improving G2G or making it worst. Personally I can't notice much difference with -2 and -1 but anything from 0 and above gives a "nice" easily observable white shadow of fast movement of objects (overshoot?) so its useless (perceivable by moving my Steam window quickly over colourful 4k res pic in desktop background). But what about -2 and -1???
3)Lastly, what is this small laptop-camera-like dot on the top of the screen? Is it an auto-brightness sensor? Cause I can't figure out anything in the OSD. Maybe there is a Win7 or NVidia option? (I am using Displayport).
Thanks for any help!
