Yeah I think researching wealth gives you a +50 resource boost across the board.

I'm on Delta - Babylon - Island of Cheytia 40:65 Marble
 
What would you guys suggest those 50 marble etc be used on? Only just started yesterday, wealth finishing in 5 hours. Also have well and paper.
 
I'm saving the sulphur for swordsmen, although 50 sulphur will only allow me to build 1 swordsman... wow! Wine can be used once you build a tavern. I've personally used the glass to upgrade my Academy to level 4 and was intending to use the marble to upgrade the town centre to level 4. To be honest I have no idea at the moment what purpose glass or marble serve, but I would guess construction in some way.
 
Glass seems only to be used for your research building. However, you need to upgrade this is if want to research stuff at a semi-sensible rate.

Marble is very important as pretty much every other building requires it for all upgrades past the first few. I used all I got to upgrade my trading post, which might or might not have been a great plan.

Trading post is good! Every upgrade means you can trade further and further afield for resources if you're running low :)
 
I keep getting attacked, its taking an age to get enough rescources together to muster any kind of defense or counter offensive.
 
hmmmm...i seem to be at a bit of a dead end now. I have built evrything I can build now as I have already used the 50 of each of the marble etc (on a wine island).

Donlt really want to attack my fellow islanders yet (aside from the fact i have no troops) and I'm a bit confued by this trading malarky as well. It says 30 gold per piece - that would be for one marble right? If i click on trade then put an amoung in buy then click buy it sends of a trade ship but i never get anything in return. I assume the person your trading with has to then accept the trade when it arrives on there shores

seems a bit strange when they can set their price only to then have to wait on them accepting :confused:

hope this makes sense :)
 
The trade screen is a waste of time. Go to the forum where you can barter for goods directly e.g. 200 wine for 200 marble. Better yet just ask people on nearby islands if they want to trade. But don't tell them how much stuff you have or they might just come and raid you for it!

I'm at [55:53], town name is Shangri-La. Anybody here nearby?
 
I found someone to trade my sulphur for his marble. Works well. However, trading via the trading post is good if you just want to sell excess. Or buy the odd resource.
 
did manage to sell someone wine for gold at the trading post. have some ships out just now i really hope they come back with marble or i'll be training up an army :)

may also try out the forum but limited at the moment as I only have a range of 1 for trading.
