Right bit of a long shot but does anyone know how i can get from the center of belfast to ikea on the east side of town without driving a car???

I need an extortionatly large number of energy saving lightbulbs and a bedside table tomorrow and cant see how to avoid the worlds most dangerous walk (through crackdon....aka that bit of east belfast id have to walk through).

So yeah anyone know how to do it???

get a taxi?

HAHA, im a student.... I didnt want to pay £50 for the taxi from newcastle (co. down) to belfast, which is 30 odd miles, after the prodigdy as that was too much..... Yeah anyway thats going to be well expensive, and money isnt the thing i have a lot of at the moment (hence the energy saving light bulbs and ikea furnature) :D

hop on train to sydenham and walk the rest, or get bus?

Ah wizzard! Didnt realise the train stopped near by! I think the novelty of ni trains is probably worth it over researching the bus...

Oh and delivery is £30 to a bt2-9 address which isnt worth it

Yeah Ikea is right beside the city airport so the train to Sydenham is the way to go.

Don't forget to have a coffee and watch the Easyjets take off and land.

As a student, considering the extortionate train prices and having to lug all this stuff back, isn't this one of those ideas that simply isn't worth following up? :D

Bus it to city airport and walk the rest is probably the cheapest way. You could also get a train to Sydenham but it's a bit of a further walk although not by much.

And cob, if there are Easyjets landing at the harbour then there's something wrong :p

Haha i like takeing the train... :D (way more fun than the bus!) and i like following up less than amazing ideas (its a theme of the last few years). Oh and a train station isnt too far from new home (5 mins to botanic station i think)

I though easjet only went to int :p might have a look out for ryanair though... (planes are awesome too)

I didn't think the train went near Ikea? Especially if you can only get off in sydenham.... thats a decent walk. Does the 29 not go that direction?
