Ikea Besta colour choices

I've decided to get an IKEA Besta for an LG OLED tv to sit on (as all the other stands I've been consider are too short) and given it'll go in a small, light-ish living/dining room, I'm swaying towards getting it in white to avoid drawing too much attention to the tv.

Just wondering whether to get the glass panel on top in white or black? So many choices... Is one more reflecting than the other? Would it affect my viewing experience?

Personally, I'd avoid any sort of glass panel on top if there's a chance that the reflections from the light from the screen will be visible from the viewing positions. It is possible to work out the angles though. Either the screen would have to sit quite low on its stand, or you'd have to have the TV pushed well to the back edge of the stand for the reflection angles to be low enough to be seen directly.

I'll be getting a Besta unit combo for my 65" B7 when I move into my new house. Buying it all separately so it saves a bit of cash as opposed to just getting of the packages.

But I'm finding that the 40cm (H) units are too small (buying a new build house so plug sockets are about 45cm up from the ground) and the 64cm ones are a little too high that the TV will look a little too high....

I'm pretty sure I didn't spend £200 on my Besta

I have it in gloss white (matches the kitchen cabinets behind, open plan flat) and wood on top. I went for the little metal feet which make it look much more classy than the big wooden things it usually comes with. I took the back off when I squeezed my Marantz SR6012 in it :o

EDIT: It's a 42" Panny GT60 on there.

I have a white three unit Besta.
White glass top.
Outer cupboards have black smoked glass doors.
My glass top in matt white, no reflections.

Ah, I've bought a new build house and my plug sockets are 45-65cm up from the ground. Planning to keep them hidden behind the tv.

That's my plan as well, but undecided to go for the lower sized units and use the TV itself to hide the plug sockets, or the 64cm which would hide the sockets, but the TV is higher up.

i guess depends which one .. one with an arm (but cabinet construction similar across range ?)

I spent £240 on mine glass top shelves glass doors and the feet to raise it up this gave much more room for hiding cables have got 2 8 pad extension leads under there this meant i could get it tight as possible to the wall.

mine is the 1.8 m unit had to cut a square hole basically the same size of the amp with a jigsaw to accommodate all the wires with hindsight i should have cut the back panel prior to assembly it would have been a lot easier, i used a hole saw on the right hand side lower that was dead easy to do. the OP mentions possible reflections have had no issues regarding the glass top. only time i can see a reflection if i'm stood above the tv looking down at the glass it doesn't bounce back onto the screen.

for the money you can't go wrong it a sturdy once assembled i just need a bigger tv now 47 inch looks small by today's standards :p

Likewise, I've bought an LG OLED and got the besta cabinets in white with white glass top. Assembling now, I'll throw up some pics tomorrow for you to look at

Ended up going for white + white glass (which I could return).

There's a slightly wider gap at the bottom than the top. Anyone got any suggestions how to make it even?
