hi,

i want to get the following:

i want to put it on its side to make it into a tv stand. i plan to remove some of the dividers so that once on its side, the top shelf has 2 slots and the bottom has 2 small and a large middle slot.

has anyone got this shelf? is it easy to remove the dividers to have the spacing as i want it?

Considering the way the sides (now your top) are fitted won't this be putting a lot of pressure on some flimsy ikea screws?

From that design, you will lose a lot of strength from having that unit horizontal and removing dividers, it may need a lot of reinforcement and some extra wall mountings to be able to safely hold a big TV.

well it isnt actually going to hold the tv, im going to wall mount that. this will be the stand to hod the ps3 xbox sky etc

just dont fit the wheels...

With regards to removing dividers, I have something similiar but possibly twice the size, and have found that even leaving one or two of the dividers out make the the unit wobble like mad!
