I have an Ikea Desk. The top of the Desk is worn but the rest isn't.

Do you think It would be possible to replace just the top of the desk? Order a new top from them?

I have seen a very similar desk in Ikea for about £50 so may buy that if I cannot.

Cheers,

Chris

Depends on what it's made of, how it's put together and whether you can get or make one, really.

I'm sure a man clever enough to run such a company can speak English... at least I bloody well hope so!! :)

When I bought my desk from IKEA, you had to contact a member of staff if you wanted one. Not sure about the JERKER, but certainly with the GALANT range the parts go through the system separately (You buy x number of legs, the frame and the desk top) and you collect them separately :)

oooh mr lah-de-dah!

Just thought he might like us more if we made the effort! :D

Just thought i'd let you know in the actual ikea shops they do have just the table tops and the legs, although not stated on the website as individuals you can buy them as that.

The legs cost £7, and the table tops range from 80cm,100cm, 120cm, 150cm and 180cm iirc when I went to have a look, so just hop down to your local ikea and you should be able to pick up the table tops for around £20 if this is the style of desk you have. :)

edit: notice another thread derailment by melm0?

Next she'll be attention seeking like a certain other girl here :D

But yea, as stated before ikea do indeed sell table tops seperately, it's just a case of wether they have the kind of table top that you're after.
