Hi

Looking to build a new PC, first build was pre lockdown and most components were either second hand or sale steals and I'm still running a GTX 980ti so think it is time to update. Looking to spend around 1.5k and aiming for a white build to go in my office a bit better. Spent the morning putting together a little something and was wondering if there is anything you would change, honestly I'm not too clued up on this stuff so any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Looks fine.

Here are some other white parts that you might want to consider. I've included them just for the model names, I'm not recommending the parts/prices.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £3,523.81 (includes delivery: £11.98)

Hold on for a week or so until the Ryzen 9000 series are out, even if you check the reviews then go for a 7000 series anyway :).
aye this is a good suggestion as the prices will most likely lower on the 7800x3d :)

im running a sapphire pulse 7800xt and it runs awesome paired with the 7800x3d @ 2560x1600p, had no faults with my old 5700x on the same card too, ran awesome, just make sure the memory is on the support list for whatever motherboard you get im running 6000mhz cl30 corsair vengeance on the b650 aorus elite ax v2 and its been faultless, im a bit drunk :)

if you got all your build for £1500 you've done well, including aio etc..but I'd prob loose the aio for more storage, so below would be my take but nothing wrong with your choices at all

7800x3d £319.99... was a week ago so should go back
Asus B650-A £196 or your gigabyte ice board above £190
32 gb teamgroup 6000c30 rgb £110 or white vengeance rgb 6000c30 £120
2tb sn850x £124.....................games take up space, I'd def get 2tb...you'll run out quick with 1tb
NV5 £90...version 1 is standard, version 2 they've added cutouts for allowing btf/project zero rear connection boards(if you think case will be something you'll build in in future) I have a NV5, though haven't got round to building in it yet, but no fans of course...plenty of vids though...pc centric just buyilt in white version as his personal rig if you look up on yt.
alternative is the MSI Mag Pano M100R PZ white which OCuk have for £90...just been looking at some vids and performs well. also comes with 4 fans and the side 3 intake are reverse blade fans also, so you get the better looking side also...actually just seen it for £75 on offer
RM850e £99...though the NV5 apparently is an excellent case for going with vthe rmx shift psu's, as plenty of space for the side connections making it a very easy case yo build it...the shift are more expensive though, but are corsairs top tier pdsu's with 10year warranty as opposed to 7yrs...still the rme are still rated top tier in tier list..seen the rm850x shift for £113, though white version isn't on offer
white arctic 36 rgb cooler £30...looks smart, not too massive and more than enough for 7800x3d...it can handle a 14900k so 7800x3d is a breeze
leaves £525..go over £1500 a tad and your're in 4070super area...also and arguement for amd with a 7900 gre, but dlss is far better than fsr, and i guarantee you'll be turning it on to increase your fps (don't mistake with frame gen here)..4070s also has passable raytracing if you don't turn everything on...you'll want a 4080/90 really for that stuff
the asus 4070s above is chaeper but a nice card is the gigabyte RTX 4070 super Eagle OC Ice card, which is £599 atm..had seen it for £580 but up a bit at present..tiple fan setup..would go well with the ice gigabyte board

below has the 4070s/7900gre/7800xt..just remember this is raw performance...before dlss/fsr gets turned on

edit...forgot to mention...as above, 11 days and the 9000 cpu's get released..they'll be more expensive but should at least drive the price down on current gen, which all seem to have had a price rise in the last week( hmm strange that)..so guessing when new cpu's come in, they drop the price again.........back to where it was previously
