Illegal downloads

Did anyone hear about the woman that had downloaded pinball and is being taken to court for 16000 pounds? Apparently the woman is only one of 1000 people they are going to be suing.

I apprechiate both walks of life yes it is a form of theft but then again who hasnt downloaded . i cant say i havent and i have had my warning on illegal downloads.

But come on 16k x 1000 £16000000 if they all get the same fines and all lose thats just crazy isnt it.

Please tell me someone heard this also.

It's scare tactics, to try and make pirates soil themselves over the thought of losing £16,000.

Actually I'm not sure how true that is... It largely depends on how good the lawyers are.

I don't get how they can 'make an example' of people, surely the punishment has to fit the crime, simple as that?
