Hi everyone,

My main system theme is black.

I got an Antec 1200 Case (Black), Altec Lansing FX5051 Speakers (Black), Black Mouse, Black Monitor, Black Aerial, you get the gist of it.

Anyway out of all these I have a white keyboard!

I want it to all match so I want a black keyboard, something stylish but I want illuminated keys since most the time I work at night and it'll be nice to see my keys when something dark is on the screen.

Any suggestions?

Well, if Razer have fixed all the bugs with the touchpad on the Lycosa then its an awesome keyboard. Lovely looking. The illumination brightness is perfect IMO.

Best keyboard I've ever owned despite the dodgy touchpad.

Do you mean it randomly activating the program keyed to the little pad in the top right hand corner?

Mine did that the first night I set it up but has never done it since.

Other than that the illumination is very cool. Not sure its ultimately worth the money but it does come in a nice box. :)

Thanks everyone for your input.

I may go for the Razer Lycosa or Logitech G110

I'll let you know what the outcome is.

No. I had the touchpad set up for winamp and it randomly just decides it wants to skip backwards through the whole playlist so fast it sounds like a stuck CD. I just disabled the touchpad and its fine.

This was apparently only affecting a certain batch but when I checked the s/n of mine against the list of affected ones mine wasnt on the list so it obviously affected more.

Agree with the price tho. It is a tad high but tbh it does come with decent software that allow for loads of macro's etc. I just dont use them.

I have the Mirrored special edition one also. Be aware if you get this one that it is a pretty good dust magnet and you'll be forever cleaning it.

The Logitech macro software is perfect, it even allows you to write lua scripts that define what happens when you press a certain button.

You could program a macro that loops through the rianbow for your backlight (On a G19)

really like my new g15, quite a contrast to my microsoft 8000, but different purposes!

was wondering if id like the orange, but it looks really nice in person, tis black and silver and i really find the little lcd helpful mostly as a mini media player.. glad i picked it!

If it's for night typing the Lycosa is quite loud. (clack clacky)
Louder that a new dell keyboard, but better that a microsoft one

It is nice (apart from the duff media keys as others have said)
very nice to type on and the usb/audio ports are great, but with a near silent system
it was to loud for me.

I use a Saitek Eclipse II now - and it's works a treat (red best night typing colour)

The other keyboards above were all to long for by desk so I can't comment on them.

The G110 is quiet enough to not trigger my microphone, which my old Logitech Wave did. (And it was given to me because my old cherry was so loud you could hear it in the next room)

What are the opinons of the microsoft sidewinder x4.. im in need of another keyboad and liked the look of Lycosa but keep getting put off that the keys arent responsive enough.
