Must be something to do with the RGB dots and the way the eyes process colours I guess.

It might be old but I (and likely others) had never seen it before.

I couldn't get rid of the image for a few minutes afterwards. Reminded me a bit of Shilpa Shetty.

Yeah the brain processes everything you see in RGB, you see the image after you stop looking due to "afterimage" (like white dots after looking at a bright light)
