Failed MOD 1 not happy, but not a big issue at the moment, will book another for next week. Examiner said faultless apart from not stoping front wheel in the blue cones after the swerve, serves me right for not taking any lessons, I was concentrating so much on the speed I stopped in the box as in me in the box not front wheel doh.

Bit of history I passed a 33hp test in 1997 bought a restricted Bandit 600 and then passed the full test when I was 21 to de-restrict the Bandit then a year later crashed and never sent the bit of pass paper off (idiot) so I have to do it all again.

Bad point is I've got into bad habits over the past few years that would fail me again and again, good points it's made me think about lifesavers and looking looking looking again which after a while you tend to get a bit lax on.

Plan now MOD 1 next week and a day with an instructor followed by Mod 2 but obviously I can't book without MOD 1 passed.

Also funny looks when I pulled up with my F650 on the back of a trailer rather than all the school 500s in the car park

Bad luck mate. If you've ridden for a bit before, the module 1 really is about not riding but passing the different tests. If you can get another module 1 next week, there's really nothing lost but a few quid.

That's the problem with mod 1 - you have to be taught how to do it, because everything has to be by the book. Exactly.

Mod 2 big bike this morning 1 minor for progress, there was an adjustment of speed from NSL to 30 for some bends for 500 yards, I was expecting a NSL sign after but there wasn't so I carried on at 30 for a while till it went to 40, the examiner expected me to speed up after 500 yards but i didn't so I got a minor, not that it matters now

I let the examiner send the papers off, should have them back in 28 days.

Not too bad as a mate has a trailer so only cost me 1 x CBT 2 x £15 1 x £75 and a set of L plates, one thing it has made me do is be more aware and reminded me of the need for lifesavers, I rekon if I had jumped back on with without having to do the test again I would have been endangering myself.

I did a CSM advanced course before but I might look at doing an advanced course at some point, has anyone done one?

Oh yeah, I had let the examiners take my papers too and I received my license a week later.
