According to a few online sources the 5830 draws somewhere on average around the 250W mark on load. I personally wouldn't chance it with the 300W PSU.

I've managed to trick my girlfriend into letting me upgrade by saying that as we're moving house soon my massive steel Antec P180 will be too much of a pain to move so it'll be easiest for me to upgrade to a smaller case, haha.

I would try to stretch it out to a 5850, maybe select the P67-C45, and drop the possibility for XFire.

Else if your budget is not flexible, there's always the non-K sandys which are non-overclockable, but I'd always recommend a 2500K + P67 really.
