Hey all,

Just took delivery of a Samsung P2450H monitor. Now i've never had a monitor of this size and although it looks stunning I'm having some problems!

It is DVI to DVI and 1920x1080p. OS is Vista. My problems are:

a. Text too small.

I have changed my browser from 100% to 135% and that is much better, but what do i do about Outlook 2007 and also when i open a folder, i can hardly read the file names!! (yes i can change the rsolution, but that kind of defeats the reason i got the monitor!)

b. Whites too bright. Is there an optimum settings list for this monitor?

Install the driver software on the cd for the monitor.

See this link: http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/.../EN/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=support

Have a look at 'The How Guide' for setting the colour & you need the manual to understand how to set up the monitor. A lot easy following it, than trying to explain.
Manual is also the cd, I have the same monitor & I also needed to tweak the colour, mainly brightness as it was too bright.

Mileage will vary but when I tested out the P2450H I found the following settings worked nicely:

Gamma mode 2
Red= 68
Green= 59
Blue= 63
Brightness= around 60%
Contrast= around 60%

Thank you, just what i was looking for. Does look better indeed.
