You've got you here 360 and PS3 on it's way with their shiny graphics but nothings realy changed that makes a huge difference since the Nes and Master system apart from online gameplay on consoles which we should thank Sega and the Dreamcast for and now here comes the Wii and and I haven't been this excited since I was a young child and saving up for my Sega Master System. It's going to have been about seventean to eightean years for me to get that inner childs excitment over a console to hit me again and finaly with the Wii it's happaning again but now I'm twentySeven and can't run around like a hypo kid like I could as a child in excitment. (but I still want to ;) )

The other consoles such as the 360 and PS3 offerings apart from the games is a less impressive extras which PC's have been doing for years and I own a PC. So what I want now is a totaly new gaming exp and I have a wonderful glowing inside over the Wii and think a revolution in gaming is upon us.

(Runs around in circles looking like an idiot but dosn't care)

I bought my cube for mario sunshine, zelda and metroid ages after it was released....

I bought my ps2 for final fantasy 10 about 2 years ago....

I will buy a wii just after christmas, when I have a tv big enough. This is the first console i have been excited about buying since a snes!

Holy long sentences, Batman!

I did really want to get a Wii, but I've been getting less and les excited about it as time goes on. Main reason for it is Red Steel - the flagship game that's meant to truly show off what the new controllers are like has been giving terrible reviews so far (5.5 from IGN or something, I remember reading)!

I'll probably wait 'til my brother gets one, or wait 'til I can play one somewhere before making a final conclusion.

I have to admit, I keep changing my mind. I didn't think Red Steel was going to be good for a second, I mean, it just seemed so tacky. However, games like Metroid have got me interested.

I still think the Wiimote is going to be a gimmick in the vast majority of games. Its the other few that I am really interested in.

I think a lot of the first few generations of games will be a bit 'forced' when it comes to the new controller, then hopefully more innovative uses of it in the future. The same could be said for the DS, there's games that use the touch screen for the hell of it and games that use it for a real change in gameplay.
