Hi guys,

So I just finished fitting my old parts into a new case, FT-02-WRI.

What I failed to do, was save/screenshot my bios settings, and as a result of reseating my heatsink, have now powered up my computer to find my bios reset to factory defaults *(&£%^ %£*(%& "$%^"&$ £ %**%^

So umm, basically i've lost my 3.8Ghz OC on my i7, which I did like, a year ago, and i've COMPLETELY lost any knowledge of how I did it (speeds, temps, timings etc...)

Does anyone know of some newbie OC guide for the ASUS P6TSE which will get me up and running with a stable OC that I can work from? I remember spending hours soak testing different clocks to get that sweet spot, i'd hate to think I need to do the same again :(

Hi cogrady84,

You're in luck, I happen to have the exact same setup & overclock that you have.

AI overclock: Manual
CPU ratio : 20x
DRAM freq : 1600mhz
uncore (can't remember what it's called in the bios) : 3200mhz
hypertransport (can't remember proper bios name) : 7400

DRAM Timings: 8-8-8-24 (the first four in the timings)
DRAM timing mode: 1n
Rest of timings on auto

CPU volt : 1.2175 or 1.2250v (I'd start with 1.2250v and either decrease or increase depending on stability)

Cpu pll : 1.88
QPI: 1.3v
DRAM bus volt : 1.66v
ioh volt and ich volt : 1.18
load lind command : enabled

Anything with the word 'Spectrum' in it (for both cpu and pci-e) = disabled.

Rest of the options were on auto/default i think.

Try that and let me know.

Also here is a link that will help you in case you get lost.
