So new build arrived so all excited.
Managed to install Windows on a normal SSD and not on the NVME drive. Only just realised this after 3 days...

Off to reinstall windows and 400GB worth of games.

In running Windows no, in your use well depends what you do like moving large files about all day and overall its the higher I/O's that make a drive snapper not the MB/s after a certain amount.

Lol :D What a silly sausage!
Couldn't agree more!

They say one needs to only keep one drive in the system while installing an operating system.

Oh wonders of 2021, yeaw silly sausage.
Good idea. Did that this time... Didn't want to be an idiot again for the same reason :D

Just image it across with Macrium Reflect - no need to reinstall
I probably should have done that but had all the games on the drive I wanted windows on so had to format that one. Not sure if it would have made a difference or not?

The question is... will you notice the difference when you switch to the nvme?
Probably not, and in all honesty I only noticed becuase running the PassMark bench my disk score was lower that it should have been. Probably wouldn't have noticed otherwise

I've found Windows 10 starts up quicker on a SATA SSD than my NVME SSD. I think its my motherboard initialising SATA protocol first.
