As some of you know, I currently work in a pub full time.

However, I start my new job towards the end of this month, on a starting salary of £13.5k. I'll be working 9-5, Monday-Friday :D

No more working weekends for the first time in 8 years :D

Now, what do you lot do at the weekend?

Congrats on the new job mate.

Weekends are ideal for sitting about doing nothing, watchign a film/cinema/bowling with mates/days out etc. Failing that, get up late, do nothing and then go to the pub in the evening.

Or in the case of my parents (and possibly you if you are moving into your own place), you need to find at least 10 hours of work to do per week in the garden to split over both days.

Today they've mowed the lawns and are shortly moving onto cutting the hedge. Tomorrow they're weeding and redigging one of the flower beds.

I actually offered to cut the lawns during the week, but mum said not to as dad would only moan he has nothing to do!!

(seriously, his boredom tollerance is about non-existant and gardening isn't far off his only "hobby"!)

Get drrruuunnnk :D

Go shopping, go see friends for the weekend, fiddle with your car. Plus the Premiership starts in two weeks :D

That's a point, sod the Premiership, the Championship starts today.

Leeds United vs Norwich City!!

COME ON CITY!

Don't like footy :p

Planning to get a place with a mate in a few months - I guess I could start rebuilding my spare engine..

I would love to end up in a job where I wouldn't be working at the weekends, sadly (or happily) that's never going to happen.

Luckily I don't miss much at the weekend, there's what football? A poofters sport.

Seriously, every weekend during the spring and summer they'll spend most of the day out in the garden finding stuff to do. Seems silly to me as they never really stop to enjoy it, but there you go.

Next weekend I think they are talking about creosoting the shed and repainting it's windows and doors (which will be on top of the usual lawn mowing and weeding).

I think im turning into an old bloke tbh, im finding myself stuff to do at the weekend, this summer so far i have prob had one weekend which i havent done anything :o diy, gardening, you name it! mind when i had my mondeo i spent most of my weekends fixing it :p

I have already been up since 8, waxed and polished the car in the already.

I hate people that do pointless things at the weekend, we have neighbours that clean the car and mororbikes and van every weekend and he literally spends half the day doing it.

You go to work all week for 5 days to do boring stuff, these people must have really boring lives or really fun jobs to do such tasks at the weekend. I just play on the computer and go out with my friends and if I could I would do it 7 days a week.

I'm a loafer at the moment (just got out of college).

No, seriously at the moment i'm building up a portfolio with a hope of going into TV/Film production. Not exactly a monday-friday job.

I finished my job as a commis chef a couple of weeks ago ^^

Some people would say playing on a computer is boring!

People who say computers are boring have never played on one properly, they aint played in a CS Clan match for example or nor do they understand the complexeties of Eve Online but I have washed all types of vehicles and cut the lawn serveral times and trust me it sucks, and we have quite a "fun" looking lawnmover. I really think these people are sad.

But I don't want tho whinge, each to thier own I suppose, whatever makes you happy.

Ive gone from a Field Service Engineer to a office monkey and also don't work weekends anymore.
