Im being a visual studio noob adding dlls

I need to add two DLLs to a project to publish.

Specifically ikpmp3.dll and ikpFlac.dll from the irklaang audio plugin.

I've tried;
-Added a copy to install directory in post build actions - code 4 fail.

-Tried adding them as references - "could not be added please make sure its a valid com or assembly"

Short of asking the user to manually copy them into their installation directory what can I do?

You can only add a DLL to a project if it's a .NET assembly, sounds like you may be using the native c++ version.
