IM client with "quick texts" and low overheads?

Hi,

I was just wondering whether there are any IM clients, other than Windows Live! Messenger + the MsgPlus extension, which have the "quick text" feature (e.g. press Ctrl + 1 to send "Hello, how are you?").

If they have lower overheads than WLM, all the better, as I'm looking for an MSN-compatible IM client for my laptop and I use quick texts all the time.

I believe that Mercury would do it but needs a bit of fiddling before it's really low overhead
